The 17th Annual Childhood Festival, held on 26 September 2026 at the Zaha Cultural Center in Amman, with the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Aya Faisal, provided an opportunity for Sri Lankan children in Jordan to participate through the Embassy of Sri Lanka, promoting intercultural understanding and friendship between the two countries.
A group of Sri Lankan children presented Gajaga Wannama, a traditional Sri Lankan dance. Their vibrant performance brought lively energy to the event, showcased Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage, promoted cross-cultural exchange, and encouraged greater community engagement.
A diverse array of entertainment, competitions, folkloric performances, and exhibitions was presented at the festival, which also brought together children, families and community institutions from diverse backgrounds.
All participating Embassies and institutions, including the Sri Lanka Embassy, were appreciated by the Zaha Cultural Center for their dedicated support in making the event a success and showcasing the rich diversity of culture.
