On 03 August 2026, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Amman, Gajithra Navan, met with the Chairman of the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce, Hussein Shraim, to further enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and Jordan.
During the meeting, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. invited the members of the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce to participate in Sri Lanka Expo 2027, scheduled to be held from 14 to 17 January 2027 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo. She highlighted that Sri Lanka Expo 2027 is Sri Lanka's premier international trade exhibition and an excellent opportunity for international buyers, investors, and business representatives to explore trade and investment opportunities and establish new business partnerships.
The Zarqa Chamber of Commerce is one of the leading chambers of commerce in Jordan, representing a large and diverse business community and playing a significant role in promoting trade, commerce, and economic development in the Zarqa Governorate.
